Montmartre, 18e arrondissement

One of my favourite movies is Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Most of the scenes were filmed in Montmartre. Montmartre is set on a hill topped by Sacre-Coeur Catholic Basilica that overlooks Paris. The atmosphere is very different from the big city of Paris.

The first place that you come across is Moulin Rouge (again, one of my favourite movie), what seems to be part of the red light district.

Streets resemble a small village, but they are crowded with tourists.
